Cardiff and Covid at Christmas: The opening of Cardiff Christmas Markets
I headed down to the Christmas Markets in Cardiff’s city centre to see what the atmosphere was like only a few days after the opened following the firebreak lockdown.
In the evenings, the lights are lit up as the crowds head home to the warmth, but there is still very much a festive feel around the city as people look to end 2020 in a more positive fashion.
Fighting Fatphobia
Fighting Fatphobia
I created this video about 19-year-old Phoebe Jameson (@fatpheebs) who is a body positivity and mental health activist who shares her experiences with online trolling and abuse online in the hope to raise awareness, whilst also creating and sharing some positivity along the way.
Here, she shows her most vulnerable side as she battles the cruel comments and tormenting trolls, but goes on to show the positive side of things as she learns to rise above the hate and love herself for who she is.

Decision 2020

For the 2020 US election I was part of a 24-hour academic review livestream. 13 universities from around the world took part, each conducting a panel on a different topic linked to the election, with presenter and breaking news chats and debates in between these panels.
It ran for 24 hours on YouTube, with different presenters and breaking news journalists taking over a total of three shifts. I was a breaking news correspondent and did an 8 hour shift, and then another 4 hour one to fill in for a missing breaking news correspondent.
Due to the pandemic we weren’t allowed in the studio, so I was at home but connected to the studio. I would find breaking news from reliable and credible news outlets and interrupt the programme to deliver the breaking news, then stay for a discussion with the presenters and share my opinions.
I received training the form of rehearsal days and a training session with the Berlin correspondent for the BBC, Jenny Hill.
